Growing up in Anchorage, when my Dad was taking the dogs for a walk he'd always swing by the local outdoor hockey rink and collect broken sticks. He made really nice cheese boards out of them.
What are cheese boards? Also tell your husband I have been putting crisp bacon in my burgers prior to cooking because of a post he made some time ago. It’s a big hit with the family!

Teaching my 6 year old daughter chess. After just one game she remembered all the names of the pieces, how to set up the board, and how all of the pieces move. She still needs some help with where the knight can go though.
Strategy is going to take a while, but she likes it and wants to play all the time!

Playing cards at someone else’s game, meeting new people, and just having a great time, regardless about the $. Thanks again @Highli99 for the great game. I haven’t had that much fun playing cards in a while, and was just what I needed. Introduced some circus games to hold’em only players, and it was great. (Badugi, Dramaha, SOHE, and more)
Hiking up Enchanted Rock with the fam... good times
