I got my son a cheap "suit" before he was even born. Not as awesome as the bib @Mrs Poker Zombie did but it was still fun.

Watching Ace score his first high school goal.
He's doing okay this quarter too with his grades...
(That's on a 4.0 scale... He has three Honors classes out of 7 which grade on a 5.0 scale for an A.)

Ace got moved up to center the second line for this weekend's games. Grudge match against a division rival tonight and the Mayor's Cup (against a unified team from the three local HS in the city) tomorrow night. Big chance for him to shine.

Agreed. Today's hockey sticks will banana much more than that... You can see he's coming out of flex about to let the shot go...
You can spend a fortune on sticks nowadays... My kid is relatively modest in his requests. His sticks are about $75.
The stick in the pic is a $280 Bauer Supereme 2S (warrnaty replacement for his $80 stick that broke on day 28 of a 30-day warranty).

Snake next to son's left foot, BTW. Looks like a constrictor. And by the coloring, I'd say it was poisonous.
It's funny you say that because I actually did have a snake in that very canoe one time that I did not discover until I was out on the lake. I almost did flip the canoe but I managed to flip the garter snake into the water with my paddle. I also had mice run out at me several times over the years, they ended up swimming for shore as well. The only time I did flip the canoe I was by myself and damn if I wasn't over served out there on that former gravel pit.
